The series is officially returning for a third season, with filming having started in February 2026 in Dublin! While season one was filmed in Romania, Netflix chose the gothic and mysterious landscapes of Ireland for season two.
With its castles, forests, and dramatic scenery, Ireland provides the perfect setting to match the show’s unique aesthetic. So before the new season is released, let’s dive back into Wednesday’s world and explore the filming locations across Ireland and walk in the footsteps of queen Jenna Ortega!
This is the most iconic location of season two. Charleville Castle, located in County Offaly, doubles as Nevermore Academy the school where Wednesday, Enid, and their friends continue their adventures. Its gothic architecture, with towering turrets and a haunting atmosphere, perfectly captures the spirit of the series.
You can visit this incredible castle, rich in history and paranormal legends. It’s maintained by volunteers, which means there are no fixed opening hours, so make sure to check their website or contact them before your visit!

Located in County Wicklow, Powerscourt is known as one of the most beautiful estates in Ireland, with stunning gardens and an impressive mansion. Its parklands and waterfalls made it an ideal filming location for the show’s mystical atmosphere. Several scenes were shot here, including the rustic Jericho camp in episode 3, as well as parts of Nevermore’s cemetery setting.
Take a day to explore what National Geographic ranked as the third most beautiful garden in the world, and relive some of the show’s most memorable moments.

A place rich in Irish history and heritage, Deansgrange Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in Ireland. Located in Dublin, it was used as a filming location for scenes set around Nevermore’s cemetery, adding an authentic gothic feel to the series.
A mausoleum was even specially built here for the show.

Located north of the Irish capital in Drumcondra, Clonliffe College a former seminary now serving as the administrative headquarters of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin was used to portray the Willow Hill psychiatric facility. This is where the series’ villain, Tyler Galpin (the Hyde), is held.
Unfortunately, the building itself isn’t open to visitors, but you can still see the exterior and relive some of the season’s most striking scenes.

One of Ireland’s most iconic universities also known for Normal People Trinity College was another filming location for season two of Wednesday. The scene set in Newark Airport, New Jersey, was actually filmed in a modern section of Trinity College. It’s a particularly fun moment, as it contrasts with Wednesday’s usual dark aesthetic.
You can visit Trinity College all year round. However, the specific area where the scene was filmed is not open to the public. That said, the campus itself is a must-see and perfectly captures the atmosphere of the series a true Irish version of Nevermore.

From gothic castles and mystical forests to elegant gardens and peaceful cemeteries, each location adds depth and authenticity to the series while also offering incredible places to visit and relive iconic Wednesday moments.
We can’t wait to see these stunning settings again and discover new ones in the upcoming season!
