Jurassic Newpark Evolves! The Perfect Family Destination this Summer

From giant dinosaur slides and spinning rides to inclusive play equipment and improved accessibility, Jurassic Newpark is preparing for its biggest summer season yet, with a major programme of investment and enhancements rolling out from July.

Located within the grounds of the 4-star Newpark Hotel, part of the Flynn Hotel Collection and recently crowned Ireland's Best Family Friendly Hotel for the third consecutive year, Jurassic Newpark has become one of Ireland's most popular family adventure destinations. This summer, visitors can look forward to a host of new attractions and experiences for outdoor play, active adventure and family fun.

Leading the new additions is The Lost World Cyclone, a brand-new spinning ride that sends riders on a twisting and turning prehistoric-themed adventure. New life-size dinosaur arrivals will also be joining the park throughout the summer, adding even more giant creatures to the attraction's ever-expanding dinosaur collection.

Jurassic Castle, one of the park's most popular play areas, is also getting a host of exciting new additions. Young adventurers will be able to test their skills on a new Agility Trail Adventure Course, climb a towering five-metre rope tower, and swing with friends on a giant five-way swing. A new wheelchair-accessible carousel will also ensure that even more children can join in the fun and play together. 

Among the most jaw dropping additions is the Jurassic Dino Drop, a giant hillside slide built into the landscape, where children can climb up and then race back down through the jaws of a gigantic Dinosaur head, which is expected to be installed mid to late August. Elsewhere, a new Ranger Challenge Activity Pergola and enclosed Soccer Pergola Arena will provide even more opportunities for active outdoor play.

The investments, totalling 1 million euro, extends beyond the attractions alone. Families visiting this summer will also discover an expanded sand play area, a new aviary experience and improvements to the popular go-kart track creating even more opportunities for children to play and interact with nature and the outdoors.

Accessibility and inclusivity have been central to the latest phase of investment. Alongside the installation of a wheelchair-accessible carousel, extensive resurfacing works have been carried out throughout the attraction, with approximately half of the park now fully tarmacked. These improvements will make it easier for families with wheelchairs, buggies and mobility needs to move comfortably around the park and enjoy more of the attractions together.

While much is new, visitors can also continue to enjoy the attractions that have made Jurassic Newpark a favourite with families from across Ireland, including the Jurassic Express Train, Jurassic Bounce inflatable adventure park, Pterosaur Mountain Ride, Dinosaur Adventure Trail, playground attractions and petting farm experiences.

The continued investment follows Newpark Hotel's recent recognition as Ireland's Best Family Friendly Hotel for the third consecutive year at the Gold Medal Hotel Awards, further reinforcing its reputation as one of the country's leading destinations for family breaks and day visits.
