Families are invited to the historic Hook Lighthouse this March for a weekend of coastal celebration, creativity and outdoor fun, with special events planned for Mother’s Day and St Patrick’s Day. Visitors can also enjoy the lighthouse’s popular guided tour experience, the onsite children’s playground and the free Eco Education Station, making it an ideal destination for a memorable spring family outing.

Mother’s Day celebrations will take place on Sunday, March 15. Hook Lighthouse is honouring all of the Mammies and special mother figures with a delicious two-course menu priced at €25. Guests are encouraged to treat someone special to a relaxing day by the sea while enjoying the warm hospitality and unique atmosphere of this iconic coastal setting. Adding a creative dimension to the weekend, children can take part in inspiring art sessions with resident artist Rose from €10 per person, while beginner adult art workshops are available from €15. Art sessions will run across Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 am until 4.00 pm, providing plenty of flexibility for families planning their visit.

Festivities continue on Tuesday, March 17th, with a lively St Patrick’s Day celebration by the sea. Families can take part in the ever-popular Snake Hunt across the lighthouse lawns, a fun outdoor adventure designed to give the national holiday a unique twist. Creative St Patrick’s themed art sessions with Rose will also be available, with children’s workshops from €10 per person and beginner adult workshops from €15. Sessions run Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm.

Throughout the weekend, visitors are encouraged to experience the fully guided lighthouse tour, explore the free Eco Education Station and let younger guests burn off energy at the onsite playground. With its blend of heritage, creativity and family-friendly facilities, Hook Lighthouse offers a complete day out on the Wexford coast.
