20,000 m² park dedicated to Saint Bernard dogs? Yes, you read that right! Barryland
is the only park in the world dedicated to Switzerland's national ambassador, and we
invite you to come and meet these exceptional dogs.

Unique Architecture
Located in Martigny, in the heart of the Valais region, Barryland is a one-of-a-kind site in
Switzerland. It is entirely devoted to the famous Saint Bernards, a national symbol for over
300 years. Since its reopening in June 2025 following a complete renovation, Barryland
offers an immersive experience blending history, education, and close encounters with these
iconic dogs.
The experience begins right at the entrance with a spectacular building. From above, the
structure is shaped like a giant dog paw print! This new 2,400 m² space was designed for
visitor comfort, but above all, for the well-being of the dogs!

The 5 Worlds of Barry
The tour is divided into five thematic zones exploring every facet of this legendary breed:
● Barry the Rescuer: Relive the exploits of Barry I, the legendary dog who saved over
40 people, through holograms and augmented reality.
● Barry the Star: A playful area showing how the breed became a Swiss cultural icon,
from vintage advertising posters to Hollywood movies.
● Barry the Friend: Discover the modern role of the Saint Bernard as a social mediation
and therapy dog.
● Barry the Beloved: This is where you can observe the dogs and watch them being
cared for, fed, and even participating in hydrotherapy sessions.
● Barry the Player: A space dedicated to fun activities and interaction, perfect for
children.
The Next Generation
The most anticipated moment of any visit is, without a doubt, meeting the puppies. The Barry Foundation welcomes several litters every year. When they are about 4 weeks old, the Saint Bernard puppies make their first public appearances at the park. It’s a unique opportunity to watch these "little" fur-balls discover the world.
Pro Tip: Check the "Live Stream" on the official Barryland website regularly to see if a
litter is currently at the park before planning your visit!

More Than Just a Visit
The new Barryland focuses on total immersion:
● Sound and Light Show: A 360° audiovisual production for a completely immersive
experience.
● Workshops and Hikes: Beyond the park visit, you can book guided walks with Saint
Bernards in the Martigny area or in Champex-Lac during the winter.
● Café de Barry: To extend your stay, the park's restaurant serves local products in a
modern and welcoming setting.
