This May, in celebration of National Wine Day (May 25), the Algarve unveils “Vinho & Versos”, a sensory fusion of wine and literature designed to captivate travellers, readers, and wine lovers alike at newly opened Wine & Books by the Sea Algarve Resort.

Timed to honour one of the world’s most beloved beverages, Vinho & Versos transforms National Wine Day into more than a toast - it becomes a story waiting to be lived.

“Wine & Books share a common language and reflects what Portugal is and what it means to be Portuguese, celebrating the richness of literature and gastronomy, two essential pillars of our culture. They both tell stories, of land, of people, of time. The May program, anchored around National Wine Day, features intimate gatherings across the resort, each pairing regional wines with literary themes:

The Tasting Library - A roaming collection of books paired with wines by mood and character with our sommelier Luis Neves.
Write & Wine Workshops - Guided creative sessions encouraging guests to pen their own stories, with notebooks left in public spaces for guests to write in.
