Sunshine, great food, and quality time with friends the perfect recipe for an unforgettable summer! If you’re in Ireland (or planning a trip), here’s a selection of food festivals you absolutely shouldn’t miss if you’re a true foodie.

Taste of Dublin

Every summer, Taste of Dublin transforms Merrion Square into a true paradise for food lovers. From June 11 to 14, 2026, starting at 12 PM, this four-day festival offers tastings (including wine tastings), culinary discoveries, and the chance to meet some of Ireland’s top chefs. You’ll find local artisan products, hands-on workshops, and masterclasses to learn new cooking techniques. Enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at one of the city’s most iconic food festivals. Wander between stalls with a drink in hand, surrounded by incredible aromas in a stunning setting.

BBQ Festival Bray

A seaside festival? Yes please! Head to Bray around mid-July for the BBQ Festival, dedicated to barbecue and street food.

This family-friendly event takes place along the beautiful seafront and offers a full weekend of activities, including live demonstrations, a funfair, games, DJ sets, and plenty of BBQ and food trucks all in a lively, festive atmosphere.

Keep an eye on their website around July 18 for the full lineup and countdown to this summer’s edition.

Free entry, making it the perfect budget-friendly day out for everyone!

Comber Earlies Food Festival

As a big potato lover, this is the festival (yes, I might be biased). On June 20, 2026, come celebrate the famous Comber Earlies potatoes, known for their exceptional quality along with the best of local produce.

Expect cooking demonstrations, tastings (the best part), artisan markets, and entertainment for the whole family.

Enjoy a warm and authentic atmosphere with live music and even a vintage tractor display!

A perfect day out to discover local culture with friends or family.

Big Grill Festival 2026

This summer is all about barbecue and if you’re a fan, the Big Grill Festival is made for you!

From August 13 to 16, 2026, Herbert Park hosts four days of pure foodie heaven, bringing together Irish and international chefs alongside BBQ specialists for an unforgettable culinary experience. Expect workshops to learn new techniques, plus fun activities like the famous chilli-eating competition you definitely don’t want to miss!

The perfect mix for a fun and social weekend centered around a shared love of food.

Tickets from: €30

Flavours of Fingal

Just 10 minutes from Dublin Airport, at Newbridge House and Farm, discover Flavours of Fingal a food festival that immerses you in local culture.

Taking place over two days from July 4 to 5, the festival features outdoor activities, agricultural demonstrations, and even equestrian shows.

It offers a true taste of Irish gastronomy, with plenty of fresh produce and local specialties to discover. This 14th edition promises to be an unforgettable experience!

Note: There is no dedicated shuttle service this year. It’s recommended to use public transport or drive but be sure to book your parking in advance to benefit from reduced rates.

With all these festivals, summer in Ireland is set to be delicious, festive, and full of culinary discoveries!

From tastings and workshops to live music, there’s something for everyone and every taste. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the season while sharing unforgettable moments.

So mark your calendars and let’s meet around a great meal made with love!
