Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has officially opened bookings for its newest ship, Norwegian Bella, which will begin sailing seven-night Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona in May 2028.

Set to become one of the largest ships in the NCL fleet alongside Norwegian Aura, Norwegian Bella will accommodate 3,921 guests and weigh approximately 170,000 gross tonnes. From thrilling waterslides and infinity pools to luxurious suites and adults-only retreats, the new ship promises plenty of exciting experiences at sea.

Where Will Norwegian Bella Sail?

Norwegian Bella's inaugural Mediterranean season will feature seven-night round-trip cruises departing from Barcelona, with itineraries including ports for Rome, Florence and Salerno in Italy, Marseille in France and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.

Passengers will have the opportunity to explore some of Europe's most famous destinations while enjoying the facilities of one of Norwegian Cruise Line's newest ships.

Waterslides, Adventure Courses and Ocean Views

One of Norwegian Bella's biggest attractions will be Ocean Heights, a four-deck outdoor entertainment complex featuring waterslides, adventure courses and activities for all ages.

Highlights include Eclipse Racers, where guests can race side by side, the Bella Free Fall waterslide and The Wave, a raft slide for up to four people. Thrill-seekers can also experience The Drop, a dramatic dry slide descending ten decks.

Elsewhere, guests can enjoy a ropes course, nine-hole miniature golf course and carnival-inspired games.

The ship will also feature Ocean Boulevard, an outdoor promenade wrapping around deck eight, with infinity pools, hot tubs, daybeds and an outdoor bar at Infinity Beach.

Bigger Pools and Family-Friendly Activities

Norwegian Bella's main pool deck will be more than 15% larger than those on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, offering additional seating, an infinity hot tub and a large entertainment screen.

Families can enjoy the Kids' Aqua Park, complete with interactive water features and two additional slides, while dedicated play areas will cater to children aged two to ten.

Teenagers will have their own hangout at Surf's Bay, while Horizon Park will offer outdoor lawn games and relaxation areas.

For adults seeking a quieter escape, Vibe Beach Club will feature infinity hot tubs, luxurious daybeds, sun loungers and an oceanfront bar.

Luxury Suites at The Haven by Norwegian

Norwegian Bella will offer nearly 2,000 staterooms, ranging from inside cabins and studios to balcony accommodation and luxurious suites. For those looking to upgrade, The Haven by Norwegian will feature 159 exclusive suites designed by architect Piero Lissoni.

This private, keycard-access area will include an infinity pool, outdoor sauna, cold room, hot tubs, private restaurant and bar, alongside 24-hour butler and concierge services.

When Does Norwegian Bella Launch?

Norwegian Bella is currently under construction at Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri and is scheduled to begin sailing in May 2028. The ship will also feature colourful hull artwork by Australian contemporary artist George Rose, known for her vibrant botanical designs.

Norwegian Bella will join Norwegian Aura, which is scheduled for delivery in May 2027 and will operate Caribbean itineraries while Bella sails in Europe.

With Mediterranean destinations, family-friendly entertainment, adults-only spaces and luxury accommodation, Norwegian Bella looks set to be an exciting addition to the European cruise market.

Bookings are now open. Visit the official Norwegian Bella website for more information or to explore available cruises.
