Desert Chic , A Day at Be Agafay Marrakech

Just a 40 minute drive from the medina in Marrakech is the Be Agafay - the hideaway beach club. Nestled in the Agafay Desert this is not your traditional beach club ( there is no beach ) but it has all the aesthetics of a luxurious beach club that you'd find in any bougie European destination. You can also stay here in one of their 10 well-spaced yurts or 6 bungalows it's an intimate and calm atmosphere for couples, friends, and families.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this spectacular location for the day and it was nothing short of breath taking. From the moment you arrive you have the sense of tranquility with panoramic views of the Atlas mountains, and the surroundings is like something from a vogue magazine shoot. It's sophisticated design and stylish architecture we immediately stated our own photo shoot and Instagram reels.

On arrival we were greeted by staff and led to choose our sun loungers and given our drink menus. The service was a the usual warm Moroccan hospitality and in no time we were sipping on cocktails, soaking up the sun by a spectacular pool whilst soft tunes played in the background.

At lunch time we made the move into the restaurant for lunch, The interiors were amazing , large tiki lampshades, wooden table and Moroccan rugs all set the tone. The menu was Moroccan dishes, all locally sourced ingredients and beautifully presented. Food was delicious and we had views of the atlas mountains, the perfect backdrop.

After lunch we returned to our Sun loungers ordered some Rose. We spent hours moving between our sun beds and pool, pausing to take photos of the stunning views of the landscape. It's easy to see how Agafay beach club has become a hit on Instagram and with fellow travellers alike. You can take the opportunity to explore the dunes on a Quad or Buggy, and finish the day with a sunset Camel ride. There is plenty here to keep you entertained.

Visiting Agafay beach club was the highlight of my weekend trip to Marrakech. It exceeded all expectations and I cannot wait to return.
