- Ryanair cancels flights to the Azores: 400,000 passengers affected
Bad news for travelers: Ryanair has announced the cancellation of all its flights to and from the Azores, often referred to as the “European Hawaii.” This decision came into effect on March 29, 2026. Thousands of travelers affected Ryanair will no longer operate flights between the Azores and cities such as Dublin, London, Brussels, Porto, and Lisbon. In total, around 400,000 passengers per year will be impacted, with six routes being completely removed. This significantly reduces direct access to this highly sought-after Portuguese archipelago. A decision driven by rising costs The airline justifies this move by pointing to increased airport charges imposed by the French airport operator ANA. According to Ryanair, these rising costs have made flights to the Azores less profitable, forcing the airline to adjust its strategy. With the disappearance of these direct flights, travelers will now have to turn to other airlines or opt for connecting flights to reach the Azores. At the same time, Ryanair continues to expand elsewhere, notably with the addition of a new aircraft based in Newcastle for summer 2026. New routes to destinations such as Budapest, Malta, and Marrakech have been announced, along with increased frequencies on several European routes. In short: if you were planning a trip to the Azores, it’s best to start looking at alternatives now.
- The Wednesday Series Filmed in Ireland!
The series is officially returning for a third season, with filming having started in February 2026 in Dublin! While season one was filmed in Romania, Netflix chose the gothic and mysterious landscapes of Ireland for season two. With its castles, forests, and dramatic scenery, Ireland provides the perfect setting to match the show’s unique aesthetic. So before the new season is released, let’s dive back into Wednesday’s world and explore the filming locations across Ireland and walk in the footsteps of queen Jenna Ortega! Charleville Castle This is the most iconic location of season two. Charleville Castle, located in County Offaly, doubles as Nevermore Academy the school where Wednesday, Enid, and their friends continue their adventures. Its gothic architecture, with towering turrets and a haunting atmosphere, perfectly captures the spirit of the series. You can visit this incredible castle, rich in history and paranormal legends. It’s maintained by volunteers, which means there are no fixed opening hours, so make sure to check their website or contact them before your visit! Powerscourt Estate Located in County Wicklow, Powerscourt is known as one of the most beautiful estates in Ireland, with stunning gardens and an impressive mansion. Its parklands and waterfalls made it an ideal filming location for the show’s mystical atmosphere. Several scenes were shot here, including the rustic Jericho camp in episode 3, as well as parts of Nevermore’s cemetery setting. Take a day to explore what National Geographic ranked as the third most beautiful garden in the world, and relive some of the show’s most memorable moments. Deansgrange Cemetery A place rich in Irish history and heritage, Deansgrange Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in Ireland. Located in Dublin, it was used as a filming location for scenes set around Nevermore’s cemetery, adding an authentic gothic feel to the series. A mausoleum was even specially built here for the show. Clonliffe College Located north of the Irish capital in Drumcondra, Clonliffe College a former seminary now serving as the administrative headquarters of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin was used to portray the Willow Hill psychiatric facility. This is where the series’ villain, Tyler Galpin (the Hyde), is held. Unfortunately, the building itself isn’t open to visitors, but you can still see the exterior and relive some of the season’s most striking scenes. Trinity College One of Ireland’s most iconic universities also known for Normal People Trinity College was another filming location for season two of Wednesday . The scene set in Newark Airport, New Jersey, was actually filmed in a modern section of Trinity College. It’s a particularly fun moment, as it contrasts with Wednesday’s usual dark aesthetic. You can visit Trinity College all year round. However, the specific area where the scene was filmed is not open to the public. That said, the campus itself is a must-see and perfectly captures the atmosphere of the series a true Irish version of Nevermore. From gothic castles and mystical forests to elegant gardens and peaceful cemeteries, each location adds depth and authenticity to the series while also offering incredible places to visit and relive iconic Wednesday moments. We can’t wait to see these stunning settings again and discover new ones in the upcoming season!
- Magical Harry Potter filming locations to visit before the new 2026 series
Scheduled for release in December 2026, the magic of Harry Potter is about to return to our screens! While very little has been revealed about the upcoming series, some iconic filming locations are rumored to be reused, bringing a sense of continuity and visual authenticity. While we wait to learn more, why not follow in the footsteps of the saga by visiting these legendary locations you can explore right now? Warner Bros. Studio Leavesden Of course, you can’t talk about Harry Potter without mentioning the Warner Bros. Studios. It’s actually where the magic of the new series is coming to life once again! You’ll get to see iconic sets like the Great Hall and Platform 9¾, all recreated with the same storytelling and visual style as the films. Many of the sets on display are original pieces used during filming, making the experience even more immersive. You’ll truly feel like you’ve stepped into the world of Hogwarts. For any true Harry Potter fan, this is an absolute must-visit! London King’s Cross Station Located in the heart of King’s Cross Station, this is where students board the Hogwarts Express from the famous Platform 9¾. Featured in every film, this iconic station has become a must-visit spot for Harry Potter fans in London. On-site, you’ll find the famous luggage trolley disappearing into the wall between platforms 9, 10, and 11 a perfect photo opportunity you won’t want to miss. This place symbolizes the beginning of Harry’s journey, marking his departure from the Dursleys and his entry into the wizarding world. Leadenhall Market This might just be one of my favorite spots! Leadenhall Market appears in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, when Hagrid takes Harry to buy his school supplies including his very first wand. This beautiful covered market dates back to the 14th century and is located between Gracechurch Street and Lime Street. It’s also where you’ll find the entrance to the Leaky Cauldron, the gateway to Diagon Alley. Christ Church College Located in Oxford, Christ Church College is another must-see for Harry Potter fans. Its famous Great Hall actually inspired the one at Hogwarts, with its stunning architecture and unique atmosphere. The staircase was also used in the scene where Harry, Hermione, and Ron walk up to the Great Hall before the Sorting Ceremony. A historic location that will immerse you in a fascinating medieval atmosphere and transport you straight into the world of the saga. Alnwick Castle I don’t know about you, but this place instantly makes me think of broomstick lessons with Madam Hooch! Located in the north of England, Alnwick Castle was used as the exterior of Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films. You can visit this incredible location and, for a fully immersive experience, even take part in broomstick training sessions, costume-guided tours, and magical performances! The series, produced by HBO, promises to stay true to the original universe while exploring new settings. Very few details have been revealed so far, leaving plenty to the imagination. Let’s hope we’ll see these iconic locations return in the new series! In the meantime, if you want to experience the magic for yourself, follow in the footsteps of the films across England and enjoy an unforgettable adventure. Grab your wand Hogwarts is waiting for you!
- Super Bowl Returns to Las Vegas in 2029
The National Football League announced that Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LXIII in 2029 at Allegiant Stadium. The announcement was made today at the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix, following a review by the NFL’s Fan Engagement & Major Events Committee and a vote by full ownership. The announcement in Phoenix was followed by a press conference in Las Vegas, featuring remarks from LVCVA Board Member and Chair of the Clark County Commission, Michael Naft, and Las Vegas Raiders Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Justin Carley. Both press conferences featured the debut of a video produced by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) that showcases the energy and excitement of the destination hosting Super Bowl LXIII. Opening with a flyover of the Las Vegas Strip, transitioning into Allegiant Stadium, and culminating on the 50-yard line, the video highlights bold LXIII Roman numerals spanning 32 feet wide and 13 feet 4 inches tall. Surrounded by confetti and pyrotechnics, the installation captures the spirit of celebration and serves as an iconic visual centerpiece in the lead-up to the game, reflecting the scale, spectacle, and global spotlight of Super Bowl week in Las Vegas. “We’re excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas and provide our fans another incredible experience in one of America’s greatest sport and entertainment destinations,” said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. “Super Bowl LVIII demonstrated the scale, energy and hospitality the city brings to global events, and we look forward to working alongside the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Raiders and the community to deliver an even greater experience this time around.” Super Bowl LXIII will mark the second time the Super Bowl will be held in Las Vegas. The city debuted as a first-time Super Bowl host in 2024, welcoming more than 330,000 visitors and generating an economic impact of more than $1 billion. “We’re proud the NFL has selected Las Vegas to host Super Bowl LXIII,” said Steve Hill, president and CEO of the LVCVA. “Our first Super Bowl showcased the unique energy and scale only this destination can offer, bringing together world-class sports, entertainment, and hospitality in one place. Las Vegas was built for moments like this, and we look forward to delivering another exceptional experience for fans in 2029.” “Bringing the Super Bowl back to Southern Nevada is a powerful testament to the success of the 2024 game,” said Michael Naft, Chair of the Clark County Commission. “Super Bowl LVIII was more than a world-class sporting event. It created meaningful opportunities for independent business owners, generated significant economic impact for our local economy, and supported nonprofit partners through the NFL’s Legacy Grant program. Clark County is proud to build on that momentum, and I am eager to ensure that the benefits of hosting the big game are felt by all Nevadans.” “We’re excited that the Super Bowl will be returning to Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium in 2029,” said Mark Davis, owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. “It’s a testament to the Raiders, the LVCVA, civic leaders, the community, and the NFL working together as one. Super Bowl LVIII set a high bar, and for Super Bowl LXIII, we are committed to raising it even further.” As part of the lead-up to Super Bowl LXIII, Las Vegas will host a highly anticipated lineup of events, including NFL Honors, Super Bowl Experience presented by Jersey Mike’s, Super Bowl Opening Night Fueled by Gatorade, and expansive community initiatives, such as NFL Source, the league’s procurement program for local and underrepresented businesses. Spanning the Las Vegas metropolitan area, these events will offer countless opportunities for both residents and visitors to enjoy memorable, family-friendly experiences.
- Ryanair Launches Cruise Division to Offset Dublin Airport Growth Concerns
Ryanair has expanded into shipping by launching its own cruise division. Europe’s largest airline is looking at the move in a bid to offset any prospect of lost business due to the current annual cap on passenger numbers using Dublin Airport. Ryanair is understood to have completed its first vessel and is now expected to apply for a ferry licence, at the very beginning of April, for Ireland-UK and Ireland-Spain routes, where it directly competes with the likes of Irish Ferries, Brittany Ferries and Stena Line on popular consumer routes. It is holding talks over berths with both Dublin Port and Dún Laoghaire Harbour, as well as Bremore Ireland Port in Co Donegal. Ryanair has, according to an informed industry source, “broken apart” a number of planes and is using the pieces to make its very own fleet of ships.

- Luxury and Tranquillity at the Fairmont Royal Hotel Marrakech
I had the pleasure of spending an unforgettable week at the Fairmont Hotel in Marrakesh. The Fairmont Royal Hotel is located 30 minutes outside the medina and 40 minutes from the Airport. Upon arrival, we were instantly captivated by the stunning Moorish architecture and signature terracotta colours that define Marrakesh and in typical Moroccan custom, staff were friendly, kind and polite, nothing was too much trouble. We booked to stay in Junior Suite with Garden view. Our incredible room featured a spacious layout with a walk-in wardrobe, offering ample space for our family. The room had it's own seating area , terrace because we were garden level the kids were free to play outside in the garden. The room was perfect and it's not often you can say that about a room. Next morning I was excited for breakfast, not just because I'm a breakfast person but i had heard so much about the infamous" breakfast at the Fairmont" and it did not disappoint. Huge amount of variety that even my fussy kids could not complain. After breakfast my daughter would attend the wonderful kids club for their morning session whilst my husband and son enjoyed a round of golf, leaving me with some free time to explore the spa. Dinner was exceptional, i honestly had 1 of the best tagines ever in Al Aïn restaurant . My kids were also very well catered for, especially as they are picky little eaters. One of the highlights of our trip was a delightful morning spent at a the hotel farm. There the kids got to explore and interact with the resident rabbits, donkeys, hold a turtle and interact with the other farm residents. We all as a family got to participate in various activities and overall it was a fun morning where we created memories to last a lifetime. The Fairmont royal was truly unforgettable. The opulent decor, the magnificent heated pool, exceptional service from staff, stunning views, incredible food, the luxurious spa, really every detail reflects what I come to expect from a five star establishment. A destination that is firmly on my to re visit list.
